December LSAT Score Release Dates

LSAT Blog December LSAT Score Release DatesUPDATE: See my prediction for the December 2011 LSAT score release date.

December 2010 LSAT scores were released on Thursday, January 6th, beginning around 5PM Eastern. Scores are released in batches, and it may take several hours for everyone to receive their scores.

***

The December LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by January 10, 2011. However, the scores usually come back a bit earlier.

Let's look at the trend over the past several years:

December LSAT Score Release Dates

Given how late the exam is this year, it seems pretty likely that you won't get scores back before Christmas.

"But at what time specifically? I need to know when to constantly refresh my email / LSAC account!"

In batches over the course of several hours. Likely starting late in the day (Eastern Time).

No one knows how the batches are organized, if at all.

The batches do not seem to be organized in any of these ways:

alphabetical/regional/high-to-low scores/low-to-high scores/test center #, etc.

Wish everyone all the best!

  1. The new baby is perfect. You can tell that he prepared relatively wisely, took the October LSAT, and despite taking dozens of practice tests screwed up the bubble sheet when during the first (of two) reading comp sections the pages of the test book stuck together and he had to move bubbles around--twice. And now he's going back in, to get the score he knows he deserves. Oh, yes. Victory would have been sweet, if there was any hope of enjoying it through the blood lust (pencil graphite lust?).

  5. Oh, yeah, they definitely release those scores in batches - October LSAT scores started showing up for people online late afternoon on the Friday before the official Monday release date. I got mine at 1:30 a.m. that Saturday. So...strengthen those fingers for lots and lots of screen refreshing. Lots.

  6. Steve, which other prep test had 102 questions? and what was the curve on that test?

    ReplyDelete
  7. So this time I actually DID drink too much coffee and had to go pee after the first section!

Ha. I think I got weird looks from some of the other test takers.

And why is everyone whining about the stained glass? I'm not saying it was easy, just that each test has its own F-you-up type of game. If not stained glass, then light switches. If not light switches, then dinosaurs. It's always something!

Good luck out there to all you December-ers!

    Caleb

  8. I had to pee after the first section, too!

Estimate that I lost 3-5 questions to it.

Oh well. My only goal is basic admission to a part-time program, so I'll be okay with around a 160.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Steve, can you tell us how a 102 question test might affect the curve? I hope it's at least 15..

    ReplyDelete
  10. What are the chances we know our scores before New Years?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I would say 10% considering the LSAC is closed December 24 through December 31

    ReplyDelete
  12. The LSAC has been closed every year during those dates and the scores have still been released during those dates.

  13. I wanted to truly thank you for your blog. There is not a better everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-LSAT tool on the internet, and your entries are all extremely relevant, humorous, and to the point. Your suggestions and overall knowledge of the test, study methodologies, etc. have helped me tremendously in my preparation for the LSAT. Thank you!!!!

  14. I was going to make the same point as Anon. 12:02 pm on 12/28. I've been hoping that since the latest day they notified since 2004 was 12/29, we could possibly get our scores today, even though we took the test later than in all of those other years. Waiting sucks. Does anyone know if they've ever sent out scores on a weekend for an LSAT given at any point in the year, not just December? I didn't want to give them an email that is linked to my blackberry since I get so much junk from law schools, so I want to know whether I should stay near my home computer if we still haven't gotten our scores by this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  15. yes they have sent out scores on Saturdays in the past. The October 2010 scores were released the Friday before the Monday release date....however some scores weren't received until Saturday! So there is a chance. I am leaning toward this Friday or next Friday....

    ReplyDelete
  16. Does anyone know of anyone who has rcvd their score? Hoping we don't have to wait until the scheduled release date!!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yeah, I heard that that the scores are often released a few days ahead of schedule. I have checked several times today but no luck. Making us wait a whole month is a bit much. I will check again before the day is out. I am afraid that due to the holidays the score may be released closer to the posted release date. I am glad I stumbled accross this site.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It makes me angry because we have such little time after the release date to register for the Feb lsat. I don't have the money to register then cancel if I don't need to take it again.

I'd rather wait to see what my score is and soo the waiting game continues...

    ReplyDelete
  19. WHY AREN'T THE SCORES OUT YET? it's getting harder and harder to fall asleep these days T_T

    ReplyDelete
  20. cross fingers, hope for tomorrow! i mean today

    ReplyDelete
  21. how long is this going to take? im so anxious!

    ReplyDelete
  22. come on LSAC. i just keep tossing and turning all night.

    ReplyDelete
  23. i have a feeling my refresh button is going to need replacing

    ReplyDelete
  24. there should be a support group for this.... oh wait there is, it is the BAR!

    ReplyDelete
  25. why are we going to need to refresh? are we going to refresh the lsat result page on lsac.org, our email inboxes? everyone needs to just breathe, relax and enjoy the moment. Enjoy the journey.

    ReplyDelete
  26. i'm having trouble starting my year; what's the hold up?

    ReplyDelete
  27. i'll enjoy the moment i have my scores.

  28. I just got an email from Florida Coastal and they said scores should be out this week

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Anon (1:13) -- LSAT Scheduled Release Date is January 10th. So, they have to be out this week. LOL, everyone's hoping it will be like within the next few hours / day.

    ReplyDelete
  30. LOL - Monday, January 10th, is next week

    ReplyDelete
  31. i got that e-mail from Florida Coastal as well...i'm predicting a Friday release :/

    ReplyDelete
  32. Here it is, the 6th and still nothing. This is making me crazy!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. also very frustrated! I feel like I'm just treading water not really sure what to focus on in 2011.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Still nothing, it is frustrating but on the bright side there may be more questions removed from scoring on this one than usual...

    ReplyDelete
  35. LOL.
FINGERS CROSSED ... EVERYTHING ELSE ON MY BODY CROSSED AS MUCH AS I CAN.

I MISSED APPROX. 3 SETS OF QUESTIONS AS IN GUESSED ALL THE WAY.

    DIE, LOGIC GAMES.

    ReplyDelete
  36. ACED THE EXPERIMENTAL LOGIC GAMES THOUGH. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  37. Logic games were tough on this test; much harder than what I experienced on practice tests

    ReplyDelete
  38. I had two logic game sections as well. One was easy and one was hard. From what you guys are saying, I take it the hard section was not the experimental section? Well there goes my score. I was praying that the hard one would be the experimental section...

    ReplyDelete
  39. I had 2 LR sections in the first half. I'm hoping the second was the experimental since I rocked the first one.

    ReplyDelete
  40. was everyone elses test set up this way

    two LR
    one RC

    Break

    One Lr
    One AR(Games)

And if so which of the LR do you think was the experimental?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Everyones tests are ordered different.

    I had

    RC
    LR
    Games
    Games
    LR

From what I've read the second games was the real one.

    ReplyDelete
  45. same here....finally cmon cmon cmon!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Check your lsac acct. The green icon is gone. It's now a grey icon which is what it did before scores were posted.

  48. Has anyone gotten their scores yet? I took mine in London (studying abroad). Have any overseas test-takers gotten theirs yet?

    ReplyDelete
  49. haven't see anyone say they got theirs yet

    ReplyDelete
  50. i know people will post their high scores but will you share a low score?

    ReplyDelete
  51. again, somebody post their low score to make me feel better : )

    ReplyDelete
  52. Has anyone gotten their score or heard of anyone who has received their score yet?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thanks for letting me know they come out in batches. Haven't got mine yet. Apparently there's a pretty good curve- 14 wrong for a 170?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Just got mine. Las Vegas @ 4:00PM. Missed my low ideal by one point.

I am soo tired of LSAT. I think I am going to apply and risk it. I don't have the energy to take it again.

    ReplyDelete
  55. VEGAS GUY- What's the curve???

    ReplyDelete
  56. i'm dying to know my score but i'm as nervous as hell...

    g'luck all.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Does anyone know the curve? How many wrong ensures a 170?

    ReplyDelete
  58. It was -14 for a 170. I got a 164. Good luck everyone. Not my ideal score, but with those LGs i'll take it gladly.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I got a 159. Not happy at all.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm still waiting on my scores? Anyone else?

    ReplyDelete
  61. not surprised at my bad score, and definite retake. but i need to ace the next one. :(

    ReplyDelete
  62. 1 received a 160 which was the absolute bottom of my range. I thought this test was difficult.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hi Steve
Thank you so much for this blog.
Can you advise me on ways to increase my Logic Games speed. I am very slow at them.

Also, any tips for getting through reading comprehension passages quicker. I can get through about 3 in the allotted time. Please help.

I'm new to this blog so I dont know if you have mentioned it elsewhere, some guidance and direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you so much.

  64. re: Anyonymous on JANUARY 3, 2011 3:16 PM:

You're not alone. I got a 144 but I've decided not to retake the test in February because I work full-time and I've drained all my energy on the previous test already. Now I've been struck with a flu and I'd rather not risk getting an even worse score in the next test that I don't have enough time to prepare for. (Even if I do retake it, I doubt I can get a 170+ that could give me an average score of 157)

Plus, even though law schools gladly take Feb 2011 test scores for Fall 2011 applications, it might be delay the time my application can be officially reviewed. I had a good GPA, good references, personal statement and CV, so I'm hopeful that law schools will not just look at my score and pronounce a death sentence on me.

Oh well, I did my best, just gotta wait and see.

    Good luck to you too.

  65. Score release dates:

I know you have posted before on the LSAT "curves", however, I still have a question or two. Does one's score depend on how others do, or only how one does? So if, by misfortune, one takes the LSAT with a bunch of geniuses, will LSAC tighten the curve on that day so one has to get more correct to get a 165? In that case, it may be better to take the LSAT when many others are taking it, so there will be other low scores.
    Thanks.
