Here's a Logic Games question from the October 2004 LSAT.


Before we diagram, let's just think about the rules. We know that G can't go with H (the rules say so), and it also can't go with P or L since they must go together. If we put K and S together as choice B is saying, though, the only one G could go with would be H, since that's all that would be left. The rules tell us that that cannot happen, so we know that B is the correct answer (that K and S can't go together). If we didn't know this, we could diagram, but since we found it out without diagramming, there's obviously no need to do so now.

Remember:

Before you start diagramming, take a few seconds to just think about the rules for a few seconds. If you can get a solution doing that, you've saved a lot of time. If not, you haven't lost much time.
