ReplyDeleteCan i learn logic games in the next 3 days? I can ace 5 logical reasoning and reading comprehension sections in a row, but I cannot do the games
ReplyDeleteYes, exactly how many questions are there? I only had 100, which got me nervous, anybody else?
ReplyDeletedoes any one who had 3 logical reasoning sections know which the experimental one was? also, did anyone find the games particularly hard? I am generally good at games, and I felt quite thrown off by the ones on today's test.
ReplyDeleteI had 2 games sections 1 with Otto and his freind and it only had 1 rule. I cant excatally recall the other games section but it was section 1 does this jive with anyone else? can you figure out what one was not counted?
ReplyDeleteI have one 2 logical reasoning sections in mine so I know both were scored. If you remember a ? from each of your 3 i can tell you which one I ddint have and that will be the one not counted.
ReplyDeleteI had three LR sections. One of them (the third section) had a question about dinosaurs building nests for their adolescent offspring in addition to their newborn. It compared this to alligators. If you didn't have this as one of your LR questions, then section 3 was likely experimental.
ReplyDeleteI had three logical reasoning, and I don't remember that question - could there have been two tests with different logical reasoning experimental sections? I had a test D, and my first, third and fifth sections were logical reasoning. I want the first section to be the experimental, but I don't remember any questions from it, so I can't figure out if it was or not.
ReplyDeleteI had three logical reasoning sections, but I didn't have that question about dinosaurs - is it possible that there were two different logical reasoning experimentals? I had test d, with logical reasoning as the first, third, and fifth sections. In my third LR section, I had a match-the-reasoning question in which all the answer choices were about gemstones and mining - did people who had two LR sections have this question?
ReplyDeleteHi, I also had 1 3 and 5 as the LR sections. I hope 1 was experimental, and yes, I remember the gemstones and mining question.
ReplyDeleteI'm the one who posted about the dino question. I don't know what test I had, but my 1, 3, and 5 sections were LR. The first one was much harder than the other two, and I'm hoping that was the experimental. I can't remember any questions from it though.
ReplyDeleteAnd I too had the Q about gemstones.
Well I'm glad that at least other people found the first LR section tough - fingers crossed that it turns out to be the experimental. About the dino question - I guess I must just not remember it, because it sounds like we had the same test. I hope it's just that I don't remember it and not that I skipped the question, because then I bubbled in the wrong answers for teh whole section! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the dinosaur question either. Those who have the gemstone question, which section was that? It seems that since those who didn't have that question, it must be that the section we had with gemstones was the experimental. And yes, those with 3 LRs probably had two different tests, because my boyfriend remembers the dinosaur problem clearly but I don't.
ReplyDeleteIf the person who posted the dino question also had the gemstones question (which he/she says they did), then the section with the gemstones, which for me was the 5th, can't have been an experimental section. The one with the dino question seems like it must have been an experimental one. So for those of us who had 3 LR sections, but not the dino question, then either seciton 1 or 3 was the experimental (hopefully 1!).
ReplyDeletethis past test, i had two LG in sections 1, 3. does anyone know what the experimental section is? i thought the first LG was easier. the second one was a slight more difficult, with questions regarding classes (gym, physics, theatre, history...) on two floors of a school; and a question regarding birds (warbles, sparrows...) drinking out of three water sources in a park. if i take section 3 as my experimental, my total questions comes out to be 100. does anyone have any insights?
ReplyDeletedid anyone have 2 reading comprehension sections? I'm trying to figure out which one was experimental? (I have heard though that the one with the passages on cakewalk and groupthink was the one that counted)- anyone want to attest to this?
ReplyDeleteFor reading comp, the cakewalk section was the tested section - it's the only one I had. For the games, the one with the birds game was the tested section. To the person who talked about Powerscore - are you talking about the logical reasoning section 1 being scored?
ReplyDeleteHistorically, LSAT has never put the experimental section on 4 or 5. It has always been 1, 2 or 3. It was section 3 this time since I had 2 Reading Comp on Section 3 and 5.
ReplyDeleteFYI, this LSAT only has 100 questions!!!
ReplyDeleteThe reading comp with the groupthink was the non-experimental one unfortunately, as I ran out of time on it...Haha...anyone remember if they put a lot of Cs on the last passage of that section?
ReplyDeleteI remember having a lot of E's on one section- I think it was my section 5 which was RC.
ReplyDeleteI had LG, LR, RC break- LR RC
so thankfully, the 3rd section which i did think was awful- was the unscored section-
the LR just seemed easy to me- and i am not liking that- b/c every time i felt i did well, I did poorly :(
Practice, practice, practice and then, practice some more. Forget Kaplan. Buy every old test you can find. And then take each and every test. Run through each and every section. Study your mistakes until you can't stand it anymore and then start over again.
ReplyDeleteThis, and only this, will improve your score.
Try it for 3 months, see what happens. But don't take a real administration of the test until you are absolutely at your peak. Law Schools prefer just one test.
Does anyone that took the LSAT today know which of the three LR sections was experimental
ReplyDeleteno, but i know that it's either section 1 or section 2. does that help, because i'm curious too.
ReplyDeleteoh, and by the way it is only the # section that is experimental across all tests, not the content. i had two logic games, not LR. which of your sections were LR?
ReplyDeletei had two LR which were the first and second sections.
ReplyDeletealso had 2 LG to start with. really curious to know which one was unscored as screwed up one of them.
ReplyDeletefor the logic games: if you had one with ranking computer chip speed, that one was real
ReplyDeletecannot really remember on which that was, though I remember that did ok on it. did the real section have 22 or 23 questions? any clue?
ReplyDelete22 questions. I'm amazed I remember that.
ReplyDeletedoes anyone remember a question about prehistoric humans using tools? it was question 14 on second 3 for me. Was that an exceptionally difficult/ambigious question or am i just missing something obvious?
ReplyDeleteperson who posted at 9:11pm: that means the one with the languages and the teachers was in the experimental, right? sweet, i messed that one up.
ReplyDeleteI had LR for section 2 and 3, anyone have any idea which was experimental?
ReplyDeleteperson with LR in sections 2 and 3, what was your third section of LR, if any?
ReplyDeletelanguage logic game was in the real section. i had LR as 2 and 3 and 5 and know that 3 was real
ReplyDeletewell, if you had LR as 2,3,and 5 (which means that one of them has to be experimental) and someone else had LG as 1 and 2 (and one of those has to be experimental too), AND everyone has the same section number as experimental, that must mean that section 2 is experimental for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI had three LR, does anyone remember if the question that talks about the kindergarten class being gardeners and patient was section 2 or section 3?
ReplyDeletethanks,
tsering
i can't tell on which section it was, but am pretty sure it was in one of the scored LR because I had it as well, and I had only 2 LR.
ReplyDeleteThe tools question was a real because I only had 2 arguments sections. Thank fucking god the computer chip games section was the real one. That first games section was a bitch, I only got through 3 and not so confidently. I would like to know how people felt about the reading comp. If I fucked up anywhere it was there. Chlorophyll!!! More like borophyll!!!
ReplyDeleteWere the film languages (Italian, greek etc..) and the computer chips in the same section. Please tell me what I want to hear!
ReplyDeletei am 80% sure that yes ... re. chips and languages.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have a quetsion about gemstones and miners, and I'm pretty sure I know my experimental section was the first on the test. Likely the questions themselves are different as well as their placement within the test -- my LR sections were 1,2, and 4.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know the question number breakdown? So far I have:
ReplyDeleteLogic Games - 22
LR #1 - 25?
LR #2 - 26?
Reading Comp - 28
Do those look right?
RC can't have been 28.
ReplyDeletepretty sure was 27
I am having trouble figuring out which was experimental. There was one logical reasoning that had the first question dealing with two people disagreeing over an author's work. Something about it being pessimistic, etc... Was that section counted or no? Does anyone remember?
ReplyDeletethe LR section that had the two authors disagreeing about a work being pessimistic was not the experimental section. i had a LG as my experimental section and had that question.
ReplyDeleteMy sections
ReplyDeleteS1: LG (#22)
S2: LR (#25)
S3: LR (#26)
S4: RC (#27)
S5: LR (#25)
I have been praying for the 2nd section to be exprimental, which I messed. Do I ever have this luck?
PS: The total questions of this test would be 100 if S2 is experimental, but only 99 if S3 is.
i thought the RC was a breeze, really. very easy.
ReplyDeletegames--had two sections...section 2 and 3. hoping section two was the experimental...section 3 had the languages...
anyone know for sure?
I had
ReplyDeleteS1: LG (#22)
S2: LG (#23)
S3: LR (???)
S4: RC (#27)
S5: LR (???)
can't remember the two LR section # of questions, but remember that one was 25 and one 26, anyway, doubt makes difference. seems S2 was bogus section, on the second LG, had a hat sorting game with tam, fedora and pillowbox, which was a nightmare.
does anyone know if the experimental LR was the one that had the parallel question about a girl's kingergarten class having gardeners who were patient?
ReplyDeletewhat were everyones thoughts on the scored logic games section (the one that contained the languages--Greek, Norwegian, Italian, etc. and the history/psychology/sociology classes). I usually struggle with this section of the test, but I found it to be fairly easy--I usually don't get to the fourth problem. Anyway, just curious as to what everyone thought.
ReplyDeletePS Did we come to an agreement that section 2 was the experimental? I had LR for section 2 and that BLEW. Nothing like to LR sections back to back to make your head spin. ;)
if that really was the scored logic section (italian, etc), i thought it was easier than other games sections i have taken. doesn't help out on the curve, though, if everyone aced them...
ReplyDeleteyeah, that was the scored one--that was the only logic games section I had on my test. thoughts about lr and reading comp on yesterday's test?
ReplyDeleteI had:
ReplyDeleteS1: LR
S2: LG
S3: LG
S4: RC
S5: LR
The one with computer chips was S3, so I'm assuming S2 was experimental, thank goodness. Thought my first LR was tough but the second one was cake. Thought RC was tougher than usual.
no kidding!
ReplyDeleteIn order to keep the discussion rolling,
1)LG
2)LR (this one was ridiculous)
3)LR
4)RC
5)LG
Overall, I thought it was a pretty fair test (though my test site was awful). Good luck to everyone!
I've been checking my LSAT status on my LSAC account for the June 12th test. The score release date that was posted was June 29th. Yesterday the release date was changed to July 3rd. Did anyone else's release date change?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the response. I guess another 4 days of waiting won't kill me. I hope you get the score you wanted!
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeletedoubt that will happen though
i want 180
:)
