LSAT Logic Game Summer School Explanation Video

I just made a video explanation for the fourth LSAT Logic Game from LSAT PrepTest 58 (September 2009 LSAT). It's the "summer school courses" game (history, linguistics, music, physics, statistics, theater, and writing).

I explained all questions in one video that's just under 11 1/2 minutes. (Get more free LSAT videos.)

Enjoy!

  1. how did you know to not do the traditional chain diagram here? I attempted to do the chain and was confused by the variable "S"...because it is mentioned twice in both the positive and contrapositive chains..any suggestions on how to do this with the chain?

I was able to run through the game with the chains (they were messy) but got tripped up on number 20 and number 22...

    thanks a million

  2. For the explanation of question #21, you show two scenarios, one with S, M, W, and L in, and H, T, and P out, and another scenario with M, L, and W/S in and H, T, P, and S/W out. However, when M is in, S and W cannot both be in, therefore, the first scenario (diagram on the left in your video) is invalid. Hence, for this question, it is not necessary to draw two diagrams: The answer can be determined by drawing the one and only valid diagram for the condition presented in the question.

  3. How do we know that L doesn't go in the Out group?
