Update: I've closed the comments section because Test Day is over, and because there were too many comments about specific LSAT questions. Sorry, guys.

Congratulations, you're now done with the December 2013 LSAT!

This is an open post where you can leave comments and answer each others' questions about the test, now that the hard part is over.

Check out past December LSAT score release dates, and see my prediction about when December 2013 LSAT scores will be released.

If you think the test went well, congrats! Read about admissions.

If you're not so sure it went well, decide whether to cancel your LSAT score.

Please feel free to vent and discuss your general thoughts on the exam in the comments below, but no specifics about particular questions themselves, please. (LSAC doesn't permit such discussion.)

  1. So what did everyone think of the reading comprehension?

    1. I thought RC was hard :(( I ended up spending way too long on the comparative passages...

    2. (Just came home from my first LSAT!)
I found RC more difficult than usual... despite really loving the topic for it, I felt like I didn't truly grasp the Comparative one.

I had one RC section and three LRs. Are experimental sections complete sections, or are they typically random questions throughout the exam? My impression was the former.

  2. I had 2 RC - one easy and the other very hard. Really hoping the latter was the experimental.

    2. FML - time to start drinking heavily

  3. I had three LR sections - 1, 3 & 4. Anyone have thoughts on the experimental? The first was too easy. That's my guess

    1. felt the same way, pretty sure the first one is experiential

    2. I had the same. I thought the more difficult sections are usually experimental. I am hoping 3rd was experimental.

    3. I had the same. I hope the third is the experimental definitely took me the longest to get through time wise.

    4. I had the same 1,3 & 4 LR. I think the 1st was experimental. Too hard

  4. If you had 2 LR how many questions were in it? I had 2 25's and 1 26. I'm hoping the 26 counted

    1. I know I had 101 questions. I think it was LG = 23, RC = 27, LG= 25 & 26

    2. Did your 26 question LR have two two-part questions? Or just 26 regular one part LR questions?

      Delete
    3. One of the LRs definitely had 26

      Delete
    4. I had 3 LR, 25 (sec 1), 26 (sec 3), 26 (sec 4).

      Delete
    5. So which one was experimental?

      Delete
  5. Any international test takers?

  6. Which was the experimental LR

  7. So any one with a 2 LR test have a section with 2 part questions?

    1. 2 part** question

    2. that's amazing news. i had LR LG LR LR RC and so that would mean my second LR (section 3) was experimental. yay

      Delete
  8. I did. I had 2 two part questions in section 3

  9. I had LR,LG,LR,LR,RC... Anybody been able to figure out which LR was the experimental?

    1. i want to say the LR with 26 questions was the experimental, since most of the other tests consist of 100 questions...there are exceptions though.

    2. No, the 26 questions was real, NOT experimental….

      Delete
  10. It sounds like the second was experimental.

  11. Is anyone else still on a nervous energy "high" and just keep refreshing this page to view more and more comments?

  12. has anyone come to realize which one of the two RC was the real one? anybody that only had one....

    ReplyDelete
  13. i had lr lg rc, lr rc

    Replies
    1. i did not have that i only had one lg

    2. I had the same, LR LG RC LR RC. How do you know that the last RC section counted, and was not the experimental section?

      Delete
  14. CAN SOMEONE WHO HAD 1 GAME SECTION PLEASE SPECIFY WHICH COUNTED :(

    ReplyDelete
  15. So I ran out of time on the very last LG question. Please say it was B :(

  16. Tell me what you remember... I had two GAMES sections... One was pretty simple... The other was absolute carnage! The section that had the game about catastrophes during a ruler's reign, was super difficult! Was this the experimental section? Furthermore, I seem to recall that the easier LG section had TWO rule-substitution questions...?!?! So, I was pretty damn distraught since I figured that two substitution questions in an LG section automatically means that this was the experimental!

  17. So this was my first time taking the test.. I don't actually remember any of the questions. Like I was in some kind of daze. Is this normal?

  18. Did anyone who took the test today also take it in October? I BOMBED the October test and I don't know if I was calmer this time around or maybe I just botched it and have no idea (haha) but I felt that this one was easier. Anyone else feel the same?

    1. LR definitely easier. LG and RC comparable to PT70.

      Delete
    2. LR easier and RC harder than PT70! LG easier too. Esp Game 1, I killed in like 4 min

      Delete
    3. PT70? What is that?

      Delete
    4. Preptest 70 aka October test.

      Delete
    5. I took the October test and was unable to finish two for the sections. I finished every section early this time. I felt like either it was a lot easier or I didn't understand any of it and went too fast.

      Delete
    6. I definitely felt more confident about this one compared to october. That one seemed so difficult.

  19. Anyone find it extremely odd that the LG section had TWO substitution questions???!!

  20. How did everyone feel after taking the test? Like the rocked it or not sure? I believed I did good! I'm exhausted but glad it is behind me.

    1. I think it went really well, just really nervous I had 3 LR sections and not sure which one was the experimental

      Delete
    2. So did I. I want to say it was the second one, it seemed to easy, the first and 3rd was about the same.

      Delete
    3. I posted the comment above yours would you mind taking a look and see if you recognized either of them?

  21. To keep this a vague as possible, did anyone have an unusual amount of the same answer on the beginning of one of the LR sections?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes Im pretty sure I did. Two of them were fill in the blank questions.

      Delete
    2. That has me really afraid never ever have seen a practice test where the first ten answers were one of two answers. Made the score sheet just look off and off usually isn't good.

      Delete
    3. Yes, I had LR LG LR LR RC. After question 10 things began to fall on the answer sheet how'd you'd expect it but seeing so many of the same answers so early on has me panicked. The rest of the test went well I thought, but that first LR is making me wonder.

      Delete
    4. Did any of your LR sections have questions with answers that were questions?

      Delete
    5. ^^Absolutely same feelings. It doesn't put us out of the water, but it is definitely reassuring to know that multiple other people know exactly what I'm feeling. That was one of my only complaints and things I bitched about to my girlfriend... Best part of the day was seeing this post! Even though it doesn't necessarily equate to correct answers... But seriously, whoever "randomizes" the test answers fucked up.

    1. Yes, honestly I had to randomly guess on these two sub questions…they are REALLY time consuming

  23. I had LR, LG, LR, LR, RC. Can anyone please tell me which one is experimental?!?

    ReplyDelete
  24. i thought one of the LRs had some really tough questions. what do you guys think

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anyone know how many questions total today? Anyone want to guess how many we could get wrong for a 160?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. There were 101 questions if I remember correctly. 23 LG, 27 RC, 25/26 LR. I'm guessing for a 170 it might be around -12 and for a 160 maybe -28.

  26. Man I was hitting 42-44 out of 50 on LR sections in prep and these LR sections were ridiculous to me. By far harder than any of the past tests I have studied. Pissed me off. Hopefully I’m freaking out for no reason.

    1. No you're not freaking out...I also thought the LR section was very difficult. I even struggled on the first question in one of the LR sections. The assumption questions were especially difficult.

  27. I usually do really well on the logic games and since the LG was first and I have not taken a test in a classroom for 10 years I sort of blanked a bit on parts of two of the questions. I usually need the entire time to complete the LR and RC on practice tests, but I completed all of them (2 LR & 2RC) in less than 25 minutes. So now I am not sure if I got frustrated with the LG disaster and didn't focus on the other sections or I did really well on them? blah - I actually liked both of the RCs I read and that is a change from normal. As an organic chemist the mirrors one seemed easy, but who knows. Chirality and mirrors :)
