  1. Anyone else take the LSAT at UCONN? It was during parents day, so we had some nice music playing for the last few sections. Unlike the garbage truck experience, the proctor didn't think it was distracting enough to tack on a few additional minutes.

  2. anybody get an answer for the carrot (vit c deficiency question) or if switches 3, 6 and 7 could be on for the game?

    ReplyDelete
  3. The switches question definitely was part of a scored logic games section. I recall the vitamin question, but not the answer.

  4. why couldn't 3, 2, and 7 be on?

    ReplyDelete
  5. it could be, but i dont think that was a choice

  6. Does anyone know if the answer to the last logic game was 22C?

Also for the last logical reasoning in Section 1 was it 26C.

I guessed both. So just wanted to check.

    Thanks

  7. anyone remember the question about theta waves and creativity on lr? i think the flaw was that the author felt that theta waves could cause creativity instead of being a correlation

    ReplyDelete
  8. I think I remember that question about the theta waves. The flaw was that they were assume a causation from a correlation, or atleast that is what I thought.

I took the LSAT here in Los Angeles, I wanted to know if anyone had any running Cs for the last section of RC with 8 questions. I was able to breeze through the games, had kind of a hard time with LR and couldn't finish reading the fourth passage of the RC I would really appreciate any info on that last passage. I am really considering cancelling because of it...

    Anyone?

  9. Does it really take three weeks for the scores to be sent out?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I didn't get to that last RC section either, so I have no clue! :(

    ReplyDelete
  11. That makes two of us, doesnt' that really irritate you??...The last RC passage had 8 questions which is really bothering me...Anyone else

    ReplyDelete
  12. Can't remember if this was the last RC, but I think it was. One question asked about the structure of the passage (description; examples; etc. etc.), and I skipped it until the end b/c the answers were SO LONG. I think I put down D (though I was debating with B) when the time was called. Does anybody remember this? B and D were only slightly different.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Damnit! I remember that same question about the structure and I struggled with it for a while--can't remember which one I ended up going for but I finally figured it out after hefty consideration!

As for the circuits, 3,6, 7 could have been on but like someone else pointed out, I dont think that was a choice either?

  14. How do we call for our scores? I can't find my sheet from the LSAT and I don't know where to find the number. Does anyone know for sure if the scores are going to be available tomorrow??? Do we need anything other than our LSAC number?

  15. According to the 2005-2006 LSAT info book "the quickest way to obtain your score" is via e-mail. If you are still intent on using TelScore, the number is 215-968-1200 "available at all times except 6:00 am to 8:00 AM (ET) Sundays. Let us know if you are successful...

  16. AHHHHH! The suspense is KILLING ME!!

    Goodluck, everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  17. OK Thanks, I thought that scores were available over the phone a few days before they emailed them out... I guess I'll just have to wait until "on or about" the 24th. I suck at suspense.

  22. So it looks like most people are still dealinfg with the shock. Is it just me, or is the curve a little less than generous this time. I answered 79 questions correctly and got at 161 where in past exams with more questions this would be in the 165-169 range. Also, the RC destroyed me. I consistently have at least a 90% in that section, but this time it was my worst area by far. It was the virus question that did me in...

    ReplyDelete
  23. I took the October test and I scored well below what I thought I was capable of scoring. On the few practice exams I even bothered to do, I scored in the mid to high 160s. On the actual exam i got an abyssmal 150. I have spent the past couple of days brooding about my performance. I know that I could do much better. Because of present time constraints, I am going to retake the exam in February instead of December. This time I am going to do a great deal more preparation and I know that I will score in the range that I desire. But man, oh man, I ought to kick my own ass for having such an aloof attitude on October 1.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Did anybody go through the October exam after receiving the score?

I expected 165+ on the October test and was severely disappointed with 158. The issue, however is this: my "failing" section was the first one; I got 14/26. I printed it out and went through it to learn from my mistakes. Then I noticed that for some questions, the answer I remember choosing is not what I circled. Also, the "credited" answer is clearly wrong.

    Examples:
    qn 4, about the judge.
The answer I believe is right: B (criticism=irresponsible).
The answer I circled on the test: A (no way I could choose that)
Credited: D (famous vs. non-famous - makes no sense).

    qn 6:
    My answer: B (prfedictions fail)
    Circled: A (total nonsense)
    Credited: E (doesn't resolve)

Then for #9, I circled D, which is credited. But I believe the right answer is E, and I couldn't have chosen D because I don't even understand it and E fits well.

Should I call LSAC or what? It seems that they switched some of the letters on the test that we have access to now. Is there a way to get the right test?

    weird...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Doesn't LSAC have a scan of your actual scantron posted for you to see? Mine is posted...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yup, the scantron is posted. But the question booklet that is posted seems to be wrong (part 1, at least). Maybe they had several versions of the booklet, with questions or answer choices switched.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I agree that the RC was the worst section by far. I was consistently scoring perfectly, at most 2 wrong on RC. I prepared for six months, took approx. 25 practice tests, and expected 165+. The whole time I thought it would be games that got me, in the end it was RC. 9 wrong in that section. I ended up with a 160. Very dissapointing.

    ReplyDelete
  28. oops, never mind. They switched section order in the booklet. how silly of me.

    THe RC was a killer!

  29. Any one else out there take the december lsat? I am trying to figure out what my experimental section was. I had two games sections. Anyone just have one section and remember what they were? Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I took the December LSAT and also had 2 games section. I want to say sec 3 was experimental, but I HOPE it was sec 1.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I took the test today (12/3) and had one games section. Let's see what I remember. There was a question about electronic devices - tv, radio, microwave, hairdryer... There was a question about concerts on the N and S stage.

I had three arguments sections, and both #1 and #1 were arguments. I'd hope that #1 was experimental, because it was slightly harder, if at all.

What did you think of the test overall?

    ReplyDelete
  32. hey dec 3rd lsat-takers ... this was my second time taking this thing, and before i had kaplan telling me which was the experimental. no more kaplan this time around. so here were my sections. figure out which was your experimental section by posting your sections, please

    here's my sections:
    1. games. this section was pretty easy, especially the first game. there was a game about electrical appliances (razor, tv and... something else?)
    2. logical reasoning. can't remember any problems
    3. games. this section was tough. one about "reserved" seating? good lord; this section was insane tough (that and I misunderstood two games' directions... yikes)
    4. more logical reasoning. sorry can't remember any on this one either
    5. reading comprehension. the final passage was on genetic development. another one was on native canadians wanting their "communal rights" for property. who writes these things, good lord

so... how can we figure out what one was the experimental section? thanks.

    chris

    ReplyDelete
  33. ... also, for some group therapy, how'd ya think u did? i thought the first logic games section (the tv, razor one) was very, very easy. the rc wasn't so bad either. i can never gauge how i do on lr so hopefully it went all right...

hopefully it went well for u guys too

  34. On the Reading comp section for the last passage (the one on polarity and embryos) did anyone else get a few "A" answers.? I didn't have much time to do that passage...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Remember that one of them was an E.. in fruit flies polarization took place without fertilization, while the nematodes polarized during fertilization..could have had more As but I cant say unless you can be more specific about the question.

I am guessing that section 3 logical games was experimental. It had 23 questions. The other LG had 22, so that would add up to 101(22+26+26+27).

    Anyway...

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yeah, I know I got E on that one, just thought I had 3 or 4 alternating A's in that passage...

Does anyone remember LR#18 about what cannot be true (I think it was about what was necessary for a leader)? What did you guys get for that?

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's looking like my experimental section was a logical games involving cruise ships, film festivals, and some other stuff.

I've seen discussions on other forums, and the general consensus was that the scored logical games section was the one with rock/folk concerts, house appliances, and stuff like that.

If that's true, I dodged the bullet -- on that section I expect to have somewhere around 20/22 correct, versus a whopping 10/23 on the second games section (which I found unbelievably difficult).

    ReplyDelete
  38. so unfortunately i didn't do so hot on the logic games... i put A for the last 5... does anyone happen to know if there were a few A's at the end... or am i going to have to cancel my score... again...

    ReplyDelete
  39. I did get a few (2-3+) A's for the last logic game (scheduling staging)

  40. Someone is going around saying that they've already released the scale for the December 2005 LSAT : -8 for 170, -21 for 160... the following scores could not be obtained:177, 174, 171.

If this is true, then I am scared. Does anyone else know if this is true?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Who is saying that they've released the scale? I don't think it's true, and even if it is there's nothing we can do about it. (Although I'm with you - if it's true than I'm scared!)

    ReplyDelete
  42. anybody have trouble finishing the RC? I did the native canadian passage last unfortunately, and had to guess on the last 3 questions in that section.. anybody have any idea what they put for those out of interest?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Reagarding the supposed already released curve - I looked back over many tests and never saw a curve that harsh. a test taker can usually get a 170 with 11-13 wrong and a 160 usually means about 28-29 wrong. And although I thought the games section was much easier than usual, I thought the two 26 question arguments and the 27-question reading comp sections made up for it, so I didn't find the test particularly easy. It was my second time taking the test, and it definitely felt better than October. That third game section was a confidence deflator, though.

  44. I was fortunate enough to have my experimental be an arguments section....oh so fun. Anyways i was wondering if we could figure out which arg section i had was exp. My sections went as follows:
    1. Log reas
    2. Games
    3. Log Reas
    4. RC
    5 LR

So i guess it is the first or third, any ideas, anyone have the same situation?

  46. The LR section with 25 questions was experimental, the real ones both have 26 questions.

  47. I need some advice. I usually score in the 165-170 range on pratice tests at home and usually get only 1-3 wrong on the gmaes section. On the December LSAT, I had two games sections, and while everyone says the real one was easy and the exp one was difficult, I feel the complete opposite way. Like, I breezed through the exp one but honestly doubted myself a lot on the scored section. In fact, I'm contemplating canceling my score because of it. I feel I scored well, or at least my typical performance on the other sections. So...if anyone can jog my memory on the details of the 4 games that were scored so I can try to remember how I did, I would really appreciate it. AND I really hope that the December curve is as generous as it has been in the past.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hey, i hope everyone did well but i have a few remarks, the sections that were scored in terms of the LR were not 26 a peice because i had a 28 question reading comp, a 26 ques LR and 2 25 ques LR and a 22 ques LG. that means, for all i can know, the 26 ques lr for me will be kept. i thought everyone had the same test with regard to what is kept although the exp. sections can be different??? i def had 28 question reading though and i am confused because someone put on here that the 2 26 ques LR sections will be kept but i only had one 26.

if the statement about them releasing the score and it being a 160 for 20 off is true, i am REALLY hurting today.

    ReplyDelete
  49. to the person with the 3 LR sections, were your sections 26, 25 and 25 questions??? please let me know because if not, i will have to probably cancel my score because others here are saying that there were 2 26 question LR sections and i only had 1.
