Here's a spot for comments on December's test. I hope everyone did well.

  1. I heard the experimental section was section 3. My test went LR, Games, LR, RC, LR. I didn't do so hot. Mid 150's probably. I was shooting for 160 or higher. How'd everyone else feel about the test?

  2. I thought the questions should add up to 101... 22 for LG, 26 for LR1, 26 for LR2, and 27 for RC...

  3. How did everyone feel about the LR sections? I finished them with plenty of time. Found the games to be easy but not as easy as the Oct LSAT, excluding the first gimme. What do u think the possible scale might be? any rumors?

  4. The LR weren't too bad. I did bad for me (160) on the Oct LSAT and took it again in December. In Ocotber, on both LR, time ran out before I could get to the last one, but on the Dec test I was able to finish comfortably and check back on 1-2 questions I was unsure on. On another post, someone said that the scale had already been determined and that it was really harsh - I'm doubting that. October's scale was brutal, so I think the best guess it to use that and maybe give yourself a point or two break, cuz December is usually more lenient than October. And I can't believe they tacked on another week to get our scores!

  5. Did anyone get some A's for the RC section on the Canadian Property Rights topic??? I practically guessed on most of them due to time constraint.

I found the game sections pretty easy except the last one was kind of challenging. I wonder when the scores are coming out. Does anyone have a clue???

  7. I had some trouble with one of the games. The one which had North and South stages where North was 6, 8, 10 and south was 8, 10 12 with three folk music and 3 rock music concerts. Any comments?

  8. Scores get e-mailed on Jan 3, officially, but they'll e-mail them earlier if they're ready.
I got my October results a few days earlier then when they said.

For the reading comp, I don't remember much about the Canadian passage, but I remember the last few questions on the embryo polarity were like A-E-A-E and then something else for the last question.

  9. I thought the 1st LR was more challenging than the last LR.

  10. I def thought the first LR was tough. The first 10 questions were not as easy as they have been on past tests. I usually count on cranking out the first ten in about 10 minutes but it took more like 13 on this test.

  11. Hi there-

Anyone else take the sabbath observer test yesterday?

I'm pretty sure I know which of the sections were experimental...

I'm also wondering if anyone who took my version of the test thought the reading comp was extremely difficult?? (Mexican-American Literature, Physicists and basins, bankruptcy laws, etc...)

  12. i thought the logic reasoning were more difficult than the norm. reading comp was the norm and the logic games 1 was easy 2 were norm and 1 was harder than usual. albeit, i felt they gave enough time to solve the problems. my experimental was a lr section-- i felt that 3 of those questions didnt make much sense it was too ambiguous- it was on the third section-- the other 2 were more recognizable- so i am assuming the 3rd section was experimental. i hope this is a help

  13. What were the four logical games questions that were not the experimental section?

  14. Does anyone remember how many questions there were for the last logic game?

I'm trying to figure out how many Qs I guessed on.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think the last logic game had 6 Qs out of which 3 were especially challenging. It wasn't obvious to me if stages 8 and 10 were the same and were split into north side and south side. I was having a hard time sketching possible variations of the concerts. Any thoughts

  16. Honestly I think the arguments sections were the easiest they had ever been for me.

For those who are taking the exam again, the best advice I ever received on the LSAT was to turn a multiple choice test into a free response test when it comes to Logical Reasoning. Using a paraphrase/predict approach and doing my best to put the arg into my own language really helped on test day with LR.

That said, the Logic Games section, which is usually my best, was harder than I expected. Even the appliance game was odd because I hadn't seen a game like that in a while.

Reading Comp also was a bit challenging because the answers didn't jump out at me after reading the passage, which usually happens.

I'm not sure how the curve will be on this one. But I will say my test day experience was bizzare. They almost cancelled the exam because they double booked our classroom with an EMT class for a group of firemen! Ridiculous. The mob of neurotic would-be lawyers closing in on the proctor as she said the test might be cancelled is almost good enough to be personal statement fodder!

  17. Question-

My december 2005 lsat test contained two logic games sections...sections 1 & 3 of my test. LG section 1 had 22 questions, LG section 3 had 24 questions. I'm not sure which one was experimental. Will someone who only had 1 Logic Games section please post how many questions you had (and description of games if you remember). Thanks and I hope everyone did well on the test...

  18. The one with 22 Qs was the actual games section and the other one was experimental. I had only one games section.
Q1. Appliances (toaster, microwave, razor, etc.)
    Q2. Sequencing game re. Harvest
    Q3. Don't remember
Q4. Stages and concerts north and south, folk music and rock music.

  19. I wrote the LSAT last week and am thinking of canceling my mark. Do I have until tonight, or tomorrow?
A response ASAP would help. Thanks.

  20. You have 9 days from the day of the test to cancel your score. So you should cancel today.

  21. SOLVE IT& Explain

    1.All G`s are H`s
    All G`s are J`s or K`s
    All J`s and K`s are G`s`
    All l`s are K`s
    All N`s are M`s
    No M`s are G`s
1 Which of the following can be logically deduced from the conditions stated?
    1 No M`s are H`s
    2 No M`s that are not N`s are H`s
    3 No H`s are M`s
    4 Some M`s are H`s
    5 No N`s are G`s.
Q.2Which of the following is inconsistentwith one or more of the conditions?
    1 All H`s are G`s
    2 All H`s that are not G`s are M`s
    3 some H`s are both M`s and G`s
    4 No M`s areH`s
    5 All M`s are H`s
Q3 if no p`s are k`s which of the following must be true
    1 all p`s are j`s
    2 No P is a G
    3 No P is an H
    4 If any P is an H it is a G
    5 If any P is a G it is a J.

  22. 1) since all Ns are Ms and Ms are not Gs (No M's are G's) then all Ns are not Gs (No Ns are Gs)

    2)
some Hs are both Ms and Gs is inconsistent because the first rule tells you all Gs are Hs and the last rule says No Ms are Gs. Combining them proves choice 3 wrong.

  23. I know that the scores are offically released on January 3, however, I (as well as others I have spoken to) have received scores in as few as 14 days to as long as 30 days (scheduled release for Dec). Has anyone heard anything about when they will release the scores or has anyone received them yet? I check my email constantly and I want to stop obsessing.

  24. I called the LSAC people with an unrelated question this morning but thought I would ask when I could expect the Dec. result. The lady told me the official release date was Jan. 3rd but said that I could receive it anytime between the end of this week and Jan. 3rd. I hope that means by the end of this week.

  25. I've cheked this blog for the first time today in about a week. I wish I hadn't - now that I know that the scores might be released this weekend, I'm going to be completely obsessed. The last thing I want is to get a poor score right before Christmas! On the other hand, a better than expected score would be a nice present...

    ReplyDelete
  26. How do you get your scores. Do they come by mail, email, can you call? Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Log into your LSAC online account. I just received my score. To those who did well, congrats!

  28. I just got my score - what a HARSH curve!!!!!

I got 85 correct, and last Decemebr that was a 168. but this year it's only a 164.

    Man.

    ReplyDelete
  29. 163, 89th percentile! I'm pretty stoked because this was my last chance AND first time, and I felt like I really botched the LG section. I was shooting for a 160+.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Same-163/89. Just shocked because I got 83 questions right which was higher on all my practice tests. bitch of a curve. but hey, im happy with that percentile and being above 160.

  31. Hi,
I just received my december lsat score, but my items reponse sheet is blank. However, I have my answer sheet. Is there anyone who could post the correct answers? I know this is a huge favor to ask, but it'd be so helpful if I could see which answers I got wrong- right now I have a score with no explanation. Thanks so much!!!
