The February 2011 LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by March 7, 2011. However, LSAC generally releases LSAT scores the Friday before.
Let's look at the trend over the past several years (click to enlarge):
(Contrary to expectations, February 2010 LSAT scores were released Saturday, February 27, 2010. This may be due to the East Coast snowstorm that closed LSAC's offices on Friday, 2/26/10.)
It seems pretty likely that February 2011 LSAT scores will be released on Friday, March 4, 2011.
"But at what time specifically? I need to know when to constantly refresh my email / LSAC account!"
In batches over the course of several hours. Likely starting late in the day (Eastern Time).
No one knows how the batches are organized, if at all.
The batches do not seem to be organized in any of these ways:
alphabetical/regional/high-to-low scores/low-to-high scores/test center #, etc.
Wish everyone all the best!

LR- Average
ReplyDeleteRC- Ehhh
LG- Not bad
Wait, was the actual LG w/ the films?
ReplyDeleteThat was difficult.
LG-Thought were tough.
ReplyDeleteWhat section was experimental does anyone know?
Did you have LG films (Vertig. etc.)? if not then 5 was exp.
ReplyDeleteYep had the film game.
ReplyDeleteHad three logical reasoning, sections 1, 3 and 4. Anyone know which one was experimental?
Don't remember LRs, but anyone remember what the last LG topic was, after snowplow and films?
ReplyDeleteim confused i had 2 logic games, one in first section, second after break. But i dont remember films or snow flows :| any other games you guys remember?
ReplyDeleteI have LR in 3 section too, 1,3,and 4. Which one was experimental? Are there multiple forms with this set up?
ReplyDeleteI would say section 1 was the exp section. I know several of the takers had various sections in that slot. I ended with 3 LR. 1, 3, 4. 2=RC 5=AR.
ReplyDeleteAR, rocked my world even though it was my strongest section during studying (as I spent so much time preparing for it). I am not sure if it was due in part to being the 5th section or some other reasons.
I had 2 LG also - the second I thought was extremely hard, and apparently is the real one (It had a game about two people going to 4 different cities in addition to plows and films).
ReplyDeleteI'm reading that people had a rough time with RC, but I didn't have any real issues except for the tough LG in section 4. I'm hoping it didn't psyche me out during my section 5 LR. I guess I'll have to wait a few grueling weeks to find out.
Has anybody taken other LSATs before? How does this one measure up?
I had two RCs... did anyone have the RC with the UNESCO rules for UCH? I think that must have been experimental section, because it was odd...
ReplyDeleteUNESCO was in the real section - I only had one RC
ReplyDeleteWhat's the topic of the last paragraph in RC? I didn't even get a chance to take a peek.
ReplyDeletedid anybody mark lots of E s in the real RC section (UNESCO)
ReplyDeleteFor those of you who had LR, RC, LR, LR, LG - how many questions was section 1 and 3?
ReplyDeleteI also had LR in 1, 3 and 4, RC in 2 and Games in 5. I did so poorly in December that I came in angry.
ReplyDeleteI improved my speed significantly in RC and LR. The other improvement was in test-taking skills. I LEARNED TO SKIP TIME-CONSUMING QUESTIONS!! That added 10 more points to my score this time. I came to that conclusion after Dec's test, but this blog really drove that home in comments after Dec exam. Thanks!
Unfortuantely, I was nearly perfect in LR 1 and 3 (only one of them counted), but missed maybe 5-7 in the real LR-4. I think I just got a little cocky by then. But, there were some really tough questions in that LR.
I did poorly in games in December and did the same here. My other scores should give me something that I (though not many on this blog) think is acceptable -- maybe 160, maybe up to 165. Keeping my fingers crossed, though.
I truly hate the LSAT and will actively campaign/sue/whatever to see it abolished -- or at least the games section removed forever. This test can't be a predictor of law school performance. If my score jumps by 20 raw points, then which is the correct predictor - the 1st exam or the second??? This is clearly bogus and just a weeding out process -- those with the big bucks for a good course and time to study will do well and pick their law schools. Shame on law schools big and small for viewing it as a significant part of the application process.
Not everyone had the same test and experimental sections but for most of you wondering, the experimental is always one of the first three. So if you had one game section before the break and one after the real one was the one after. If you had two LR sections before the break and one after the experimental was one of the first two. Good luck everyone.
ReplyDeletei had RC, LR, RC, LG, LR. the logic games were tough for some reason. I got through two of them flawlessly, but had a hard time with the other two. I was expecting to destroy them considering I've done EVERY logic games released since LSAT 29....and was seriously killing all of them.
ReplyDeleteI tried to do a logic game on Friday to boost my confidence, and didn't want to think about the exam too much the day before. I randomly happened upon the toy dinosaur game and that really screwed up my confidence. How did I randomly just happen to choose one of the hardest logic games in LSAT history?
did anybody mark lots of E s in the real RC section (UNESCO)
ReplyDeleteyes.
Did anyone mark a lot of Cs overall? That was my default guess response..
Anonymous feb 14th 3:57 answering your question would be a violation of LSAC rules which may be why your not getting an answer. Don't wanna get the lsat blog in trouble do you....
ReplyDeleteI had LR RC LG-LR LG. Usually one of the first three sections is the experimental for those of you who are asking.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the LR really but I know they were not diverse questions mostly Assumptions, Flaws and inferences. RC was actually better this time compared to the Dec one. LG section was hard, thats usually my strong point but I remember getting intimidated by the games this time. There was a loose sequencing, distribution, selection and another distribution maybe hybrid one, I didn't finish :(.
Good luck everyone
Hopefully they will give us a generous curve :)
I had
ReplyDeleteRC LR RC (break) LG LR
my second RC was the one with UNESCO and I thought it was an experimental one because it was so easy, at least compared to the first RC one.
The games were actually much harder than usual so if in fact the UNESCO RC was the real one I guess it was meant to compensate for the above average difficulty of the games.

ReplyDeleteCome'on don't be paranoid no one's going to sue anyone for such innocuous "violations". If that were the case then the LSAC should in fact sue thousands of students who discuss the test format and materials even during the break between sections.
by the way I'm not the same user you were replying to in your comment.
I really don't know what to think about this test. I thought the games were so much easier than most of the practice tests I did, but I don't think that did me much good, because I kind of panicked and misread the rules on the first two. It was stressful. UNESCO was terrible - RC is usually my strong point (on most practice tests I'd only miss one question, at the most two) but this one was not fun.
ReplyDeleteI had LR-RC-LR-LR-LG. Obviously one of my LR was experimental. I left the test really hoping it was the first section, but rumor has it that it was the second one. That was disappointing, because the first section was really hard.
Anyway, I have no clue what to think!
LSAC relentlessly pursues cases against anyone who discloses their copyrighted material. They are not big brother they can't know what people are talking about in private conversations but if you were to post questions or answer sequences anywhere online, especially for an undisclosed administration, a lawyer somewhere would be writing up a C&D before you turned your computer off.
ReplyDeleteWhat does "undisclosed administration" mean? Do they send us the:
ReplyDeletetotal score: must be
percentile: probably
score for each section:?
scantron:?
(so we can see whether to get it handscored if there were stray marks misread)
Jim:
ReplyDeletean undisclosed test means the only info you will receive from LSAC is your overall score and percentile. No questions, no scantron, no per section score. You could still pay to have it hand scored but of course without any of that info its really just a blind roll of the dice.
Could it be that since the Feb administration is undisclosed the LSAC plays around with sections i.e. UNESCO included RC section was an experimental in some cases and real in others?
ReplyDeletein other words, if you had two RC then your UNESCO was experimental and if you had only one RC than it was real? (I can't imagine why they would want to do something like that but since it's "undisclosed" we never know)
No....the four scored sections are the same for everybody (tho not in the same order), everyone had the RC section with the UNESCO passage and it was not experimental. If you had two RC sections the other one was the fake. Both the scored and experimental sections are put together following strict but very separate criteria, they are not interchangeable.

ReplyDeleteMay I ask you how come you are aware of all these LSAC policies? would you happen to have worked for them at some point?
They tell you the policies right before the test :-/
ReplyDeleteAnd LSAT Blog cannot be sued or be held responsible for what others post - only the original poster can. As an intermediary publisher, LSAT Blog is protected from any legal action. And LSAC's ability to pursue those who discuss their test is debatable considering free speech rights...
they tell you basic policies not the "strict criteria" according to which "both scored and experimental sections are put together." Nor do they ever tell details about how "LSAC relentlessly pursues cases against anyone who discloses their copyrighted material"
ReplyDeleteNo I am not a current or former LSAC employee, just a student who has devoted a disturbingly large portion of the last two years, first as a test taker and second as an LSAT tutor to understanding not just the content but the mechanics of this test. My information comes from telephone and email correspondences with LSAC directly, adcomms of various institutions, and admissions consultants. That being said you never take for face value information you get from an unverified source on the internet. A clear example of this is illustrated by the simply inaccurate ideas posted by one of the anons above that I've posted below. But theres nothing about my post that makes it any more inherently valid than that misguided one. Use any info you get as a starting point do your own research and verify.

Go to one of the huge LSAT blogs like TLS and see how fast they will ban your IP from ever posting on their site again if you try to post copyrighted material. The fact that you may be able to get away with it on a less frequented site like this one does not make it legal. Those blogs don't ban people out of altruism, they do it for fear of lawsuits. LSAC's ability to pursue people who discuss their test is limited strictly by the practical difficulties in catching people, has nothing to do with freedom of speech which continues to be the mostly widely misinterpreted provision of the constitution (even by aspiring law students apparently which is unfortunate) and in no way authorizes violation of copyright laws.
I have a question about the ones who had a reading comprehension section as the experimental section. I faintly remember the UNESCO question but if any of you remembers the rest of the reading passages whether in the experimental or the real section will you please list them here.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate any help for it would determine whether i cancel this score or not.

ReplyDeleteBenito, with a kind of wise innocence, re-interprets earlier posts on this blog and suggests that in doing so, other LSAT takers may find solutions in the posts to their own problems.
Did anyone get a misconduct warning on Feb 12 and have you heard from LSAC about it since?
ReplyDeleteyes, and havent heard from them yet. what was yours regarding?
ReplyDeleteMy misconduct warning was for working overtime on a section. I have not heard back yet. I did send them a letter explaining last week. Did you send them a letter or e-mail? Is it wise to get a professor to write a character reference to LSAC?
ReplyDeletejust got my score
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who got my score back today 3/3? I was expecting it tomorrow but the email came around 5 P.M. today.
