(Note: Test-takers' LSAC accounts are listing Thursday, July 3, as the score release date. I'm guessing this means scores will be released on that day, or possibly even sooner!)

LSAC doesn't like to release scores on major holidays, so a July 4 score release is unlikely. Weekend releases are uncommon, but possible. My guess is that they'll be released either Thursday, July 3, or Saturday, July 6.

The October 2013 LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by Wednesday, October 30, 2013, so you'll have to wait for your LSAT score.

However, the scores usually come out a bit earlier than scheduled.

Last year, for the first time ever (that I know of, anyway), LSAC released scores after the scheduled release date for a test administration. Why? It may have something to do with the fact that this was in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy (LSAC's office was closed).

Let's assume this won't happen again.

I've also never heard of them coming back on the scheduled release date itself. So, assuming a hurricane doesn't delay score release like it did last year, I'm going for Monday, October 28th, or Tuesday, October 29th as the most likely score release dates based on the above.

The June 2013 LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by Friday, July 5, 2013, so you'll have to wait for your LSAT score.

However, the scores usually come out a bit earlier than scheduled.

Let's look at the trend over the past several years (click to enlarge):

I've never heard of scores coming back on the scheduled release date itself except for when LSAC was releasing February 2013 LSAT scores. (This delay was possibly due to inclement weather.)

In general, if we look at previous LSAT score release dates for February, June, October, and December, it seems that LSAC is taking longer to release scores than in previous years.

As such, I predict that LSAC will release scores on Tuesday, July 2, or Wednesday, July 3. (I don't recall scores ever being released on a major holiday.)

The February 2012 LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by March 7, 2012. However, LSAC generally releases LSAT scores a bit earlier than that.
Let's look at the trend over the past several years (click to enlarge):

The December 2011 LSAT score release was a bit unpredictable, but the June 2011 LSAT score release and October 2011 LSAT score release are helpful in allowing me to make an educated guess about when February LSAT scores will come out.

Over the years, February, June, and October scores were traditionally scheduled to be released no later than 23 days after the exam date (a Monday). However, LSAC started giving themselves a little more time in the June 2011 - February 2012 test cycle, scheduling the score release date to be 25 days after the test date for the June 2011, October 2011 and February 2012 LSATs (a Wednesday).

For both the June and October 2011 LSATs, LSAC scheduled the results to be released no later than 25 days after the test date, but then released them 23 days later (2 days earlier than scheduled. For this reason...


My best guess is that February 2012 LSAT scores will be released on Monday, March 5, 2012.

However, the scores consistently come out more than a few days before the scheduled score release date.

As you can see, there's a general trend - LSAC is taking longer and longer to come back with the results. Also, the difference between the scheduled score release dates and actual score release dates is decreasing over time.

Unfortunately, it's extremely difficult to predict a specific date, or even a few dates, that would be the most likely actual score release date for the December 2011 LSAT.

My best guess is that December 2011 LSAT scores will be released sometime close to Saturday, December 31st - within a few days before or after.

Good luck to everyone taking the October LSAT!

The October LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by Wednesday, October 26, 2011. However, the scores usually come back a bit earlier.

Let's look at the trend over the past several years (click below chart to enlarge):

Just as with the June 2011 LSAT, LSAC is giving themselves a few extra days (as compared to previous years) to calculate the scores.

For the June 2011 LSAT, LSAC said they'd have the scores back within 23 days, rather than the typical 21. However, June 2011 LSAT scores came back 2 days ahead of schedule - the Monday before the scheduled release date.

Now, for the October 2011 LSAT, LSAC says they'll have the scores back within 25 days, rather than the typical 23. For this reason, given the information we have about the actual June 2011 LSAT score release date, my best guess is that October 2011 LSAT scores will be released on Monday, October 24th.

The June 2011 LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by Wednesday, June 29, 2011, so you'll have to wait for your LSAT score.

However, the scores usually come out a bit earlier.

Let's look at the trend over the past several years (click to enlarge):

LSAC's given themselves a 21-day period to grade June tests since 2005, but they're giving themselves a 23-day period this time. This may suggest that it'll take longer than the usual 17, 18, or 19 days to get scores back.


It's difficult to make a specific prediction given this change. Had the scheduled score release date been Monday, June 27th, I would've guessed that the score would come out 17 or 18 days later, meaning 6/23 or 6/24. However, the fact that they're allowing more time to get scores ready may mean waiting a few more days.

The February 2011 LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by March 7, 2011. However, LSAC generally releases LSAT scores the Friday before.

Let's look at the trend over the past several years (click to enlarge):

(Contrary to expectations, February 2010 LSAT scores were released Saturday, February 27, 2010. This may be due to the East Coast snowstorm that closed LSAC's offices on Friday, 2/26/10.)

It seems pretty likely that February 2011 LSAT scores will be released on Friday, March 4, 2011.
