June 2012 LSAT Score Release Dates

LSAT Blog June 2012 LSAT Score Release Dates

The June 2012 LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by Friday, July 6, 2012, so you'll have to wait for your LSAT score.

However, the scores usually come out a bit earlier than scheduled.

Let's look at the trend over the past several years (click to enlarge):

LSAT Blog June 2012 LSAT Score Release Dates

LSAC gave themselves a 21-day period to grade June tests from 2005-2010, then gave themselves a 23-day period in 2011.

Now, in 2012, they're giving themselves a 25-day period to grade the June LSAT. This suggests that it may take even longer than the 21 days for the June 2011 LSAT.

It's difficult to make a specific prediction given this change. However, the fact that they're allowing more time to get scores ready may mean waiting a few more days.

I predict that June 2012 LSAT scores will be released on Tuesday, July 3, or Thursday, July 5.

(I would've included Wednesday, July 4, in my prediction, but I haven't ever seen LSAC release scores on a major holiday.)

LSAC gave themselves a 25-day period to grade the February LSAT this year, yet took 24 days to grade them (scores came out only 1 day early.) I'm learning towards Thursday, July 5 for this one.

"But at what time specifically do scores come on score release days? I need to know when to constantly refresh my email / LSAC account!"

In batches over the course of several hours. Likely starting late in the day (Eastern Time).

No one knows how the batches are organized, if at all.

The batches do not seem to be organized in any of these ways:

alphabetical/regional/high-to-low scores/low-to-high scores/test center #, etc.

Wish everyone all the best!

Please feel free to vent and discuss your general thoughts on the exam in the comments, but no specifics about particular questions themselves, please. (LSAC doesn't permit such discussion.)

    1. Hey there - hope you did well!

It's probably fastest for everyone to leave comments right here on this blog post. This way, everyone can see how others felt about it.

    2. cool! for me, i got two reading sections right from the beginning. S1 and S2 were both RC haha.. brutal! the second reading section had some court case about shelly vs. something? (don't remember) and it was so hard... game was easy although i know that i always make mistakes. the first lr was easy but the second lr was pretty hard for me. i barely had time to review my answers. (if any of these info would get me into trouble, please let me know, i'll delete it haha) what did everybody else think???

  2. I also had 2 RC to start off. One of them was terribly written. The passages were extremely dense, way more challenging than any RC section i've written before. RC is usually my best section, -1 or -2 at most. Easily -5 or -6 on that section on this LSAT. I knew something was very very wrong when I had 2 sections of 4 answers in a row, and only like 1 E in the entire RC section. I concur, the first LR was easy, the 2nd was quite hard. Quite a few VERY ambiguous answer choices in the later questions.

  3. I had 3 LR (sections 1, 2, and 4)-- I found the first one pretty manageable and then the second one was WEIRD (a bunch of question types you don't usually see), the third one I found really difficult, though "standard" in terms of question types, frequency, etc. the RC wasn't awful but one of the earlier passages was quite dense so I found myself running out of time at the end and had to skim the last passage to get to the questions. the LG seemed pretty normal in terms of content, some tricky stuff but nothing I haven't seen in my prep. hoping there's a generous curve!!

    2. That looks fine to me! As long as you don't get specific, you're good.

    3. My test was same order and I have same views. Arguments, Arguments, Reading, Arguments, Games.

First argument section was easy, second a little harder, and third was difficult.

  4. urrrgh i guess i'm relieved that the RC wasn't easy for other people... i just hope that the more difficult reading section i got with the court case passage was an experimental section :( yea i hope the curve is generous.. -12/-13 for 170 hopefully!!

    1. I thought that one of the rc sections was easier than the other I had 2 rc sections from the beginning (section 1 and 2). The second was hrader for me than the first.

      Delete
    2. The 2nd RC (court case) was definitely the experimental one. Unfortunately I didn't finish the 1st RC - anyone have the same experience? Found it was much harder to weed through vs. practice.

  5. It wendt (get it?) better than I originally thought. I was much more prepared than the majority of test takes, thanks Steve! I had two Reading Comprehension sections, one of which had two sections with 8 questions. Have to assume thats the one, which in hindsight is probably for the best. I know it is weird and random, but did the extra space on the Logic Games screw anybody else up? By no means was have all of the two questions on two pages tragic, but it definitely threw my rhythm the first two games. I find that very funny how something that trivial can have an impact. Cannot thank you enough Steve, you have a loyal advocate for life!

    1. Yeah, the extra space also threw me off. I appreciated the extra space but usually all the questions for that game are on the same page. Today it was the rules and 1 question on one page and the rest on the next. I had to spread open my book which I didn't appreciate because the desk was small and I felt uncomfortable because of the unfamiliar format. Oh well, good thing is I feel confident :)

      Delete
    2. I found having the games on one page and the questions/answers on a different page very distracting. It threw me off big time. I always have three games complete with -1 for the most, this time I could hardly finish the third game. I was super upset about that. I felt like my second RC had to be the experimental. The RC seemed too easy, that I hope I didn't make simple mistakes.

      Delete
  6. for some reason the extra room for games completely threw me off and I somehow bombed games even though I'm barely ever more than -2 on games. This was definitely a weird lsat in a few ways. 2 reading comps never helps but it is pretty obvious that the experimental was the one with two 8 question passages which i'm probably thankful for. Maybe some agree but I definitely think this was harder then average, could have just been test day conditions that screwed me up though i guess.

    1. The two pages per game threw me off also, especially considering we had small desks at my testing center. I had to frequently turn back and forth between the two pages. Also noticed that there were not many deductions that could be made on the games. LR sections had some ambigious questions.

      Delete
    2. Was the two 8 question passages that you say was the experimental the first or second section?

      Delete
  7. Pretty sure i bombed the second two logic games, felt like I barely had enough time to set up the last one. i also thought the RC was a little harder than usual. I had an experimental LR section, not really sure which one it was. overall i feel like i have no idea what my score is going to be!

    ReplyDelete
  8. The RC with a court case must have been the experimental; didn't have that in my RC. My experimental was an LG section.

    ReplyDelete

    1. The RC with comparative reasoning regarding fingerprinting was the scored section.

      Delete
    2. I had 2 RC's. My first passage of section one was about digital books and I can't seem to remember any of the rest and/or where they were. Did you have a passage about digital books as well?

      Delete
  9. I had experimental LG - did real one have game about routes?

    ReplyDelete

    1. I don't really remember anything about roots but my LG had one with zones (1, 2 and 3). I hope that helps.

  10. Real LG section had one about zones and salespersons. Also one about a shopping center and stores/restaurants I think?

  11. The experimental lg I did excellent on and nearly cried when I saw there was another one. I didn't do so well on the second section of games :(

    1. The experimental was SOOO much easier than the real one. I'm horrified that the easy one didn't count.

    2. ME TOO! My heart sunk deeply into my chest.

      Delete
    3. I totally agree! And I seriously thought the hard one was experimental so I really did not give it 100%.. So mad at myself!

      Delete
  12. i had an experimental lg. was the real section the one with the solo singers?

    ReplyDelete
  13. I think this was a harder than usual LSAT. I had LR, AR, RC, LR, AR today, so my experimental section was games. I hope the experimental was the first games section, I had to skip one game completely, and barely finished 3 games. The two page format was terrible!! I usually slam the RC section, under time and maybe -2, and on this test I missed an entire passage. Definitely debating canceling my score.

    ReplyDelete
  14. the real LG had opera solos, stores, utility commissions. .....

    ReplyDelete
  15. I got the one with 2 games....I felt like the first LR section was incredibly difficult (super long stimulus passages) and ran out of time half way through. Reading comp wasn't so bad, i managed to finish on time and the games seemed surprisingly easy.

    ReplyDelete
  16. My first 2 sections were RC RC. The second was about the court case! I believe this was the real one and the first one ONE without the Court case was the experimental. What do you guys think?

    ReplyDelete

    1. I had a passage about a court case with fingerprinting, and I had two logic games for my experimental so the I think the court case one was your real reading comp

  21. Fingerprints and??? What about Shelley and the 14th amendment?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yea-- I'm having a hard time remembering which RC has which material. The first one was much easier for me than the second one. I just need to match these with content that people are talking about

  23. Real one included one about jazz and toni morrison, and one about atoms splitting and scientific theories, cant remember the first passage

    1. I remember these but can't remember if they were in my first RC or my second RC...... all I remember was that i BOMBED my second RC and the first passage totally threw me off from the start

    2. The first one was about publishing and digitized books.

      Delete
    3. The section with the digital books was the real one?

  24. Yes, the real one included the passage on the jazz inspired novel. Does anyone know what was on the experimental and/or real LG sections?

    1. Real one had one about Zones (1, 2 and 3)

    1. I had 25, 25, and 26 so my guess is one of the 25s was experimental.

      Delete
  26. The real LG was about a shopping center (veterinary office and toy stores among others) and another was about weds, thurs, and friday but cant remember the objects in that one.last games was about musical solos

    ReplyDelete

    1. I think the W T F was about presentations. The last one was about music and pianists (I think it was last), that's the one I didn't do so hot on.

  27. I think 23 and 26??? Def not 27. I remember because I bubbled the 27th and then realized that there wasn't one :)

Getting concerned about the RC now. I think that's the one I botched. Neurology and economics anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  28. How many questions total were on this test? 101 or 102? Name the breakdown per scored section, please!

    1. And also, I'm just about positive the 1st LR ( if you had three) was experimental

    2. 26 and 25 LR ... 27 RC ... 23 LG .... 101

      Delete
  29. Did anyone with one RC have a questions regarding the 14th amendment and discrimination?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. i had that 14th amendment passage and i hated it. (i had two RCs) i really didn't know what that passage was about... it seems that though ppl think that that's the experimental section.

      Delete
    2. Yes, it becomes a blur so quickly. I remember Neurology and decisions, 14th Amendment, nuclear fision science, jazz...it seems I remember those from section 2. But I have no idea what the others were... I wish I could piece this together LOL.

      Delete
    3. can anybody remember the topic of the first passage in either RC? that would help me figure out which was which

      Delete
    4. I only had one RC section (my experimental was games) and the first one was about digitizing books to a point where any book even if it's out of print can be made by machines. And the other ones were about nuclear fission, Toni Morrison's Jazz, and the one with 2 passages was about fingerprints.

      Delete
    5. Ah. I think that's the one I did well on! Sweet! Yeah, fingerprint analysis is just fine, vs. fingerprint analysis sucks. :)

      Delete
    6. THANK GODDDD! i did well on this one....bombed the experimental

      Delete
    7. To the first replier: that is awesome! I hated that one two. He totally lost me. Partly because that was my second RC section, and I figured the first one was too easy so this had to be the real one which was going to destroy me! Ugh! But yeah, that one was nasty. It did this good think, but the wrong way, and the precedent is all messed up, and it infringes on bla bla bla, but still is applicable based on bla bla...which I kinda got since I've read a bit about the 14th, but the guy still lost me. Dense passage.

  30. my test had 2 games 2 reasoning and one rc so it was pretty standard i wonder which one was experimental??

    1. Real games had order something 1-7, pharacy, 2 restaurants etc, presentation on w,t,f and pianists.

    2. was this the game in which one of the games had a distribution characteristic of ppl being assigned to only Morning or Afternoon classes/sessions???

      Delete
    3. Oh maybe that was in instead of presentations....No LO, etc.

      Delete
    4. ooo this is the test I took too. section 1 was a breeze for me, what I got stuck on was the LG the new format really threw me off! Yea, this included the game with the lab assistants being assigned to morning or afternoon presentations(?) on W T F. At first I was a bit concerned as to how to set it up until I saw how the q1 had it set up by day after that it was kind of second nature. I think the timed practice tests paid off. Thanks Steve for your guidance on making a schedule on retaking the test!

      Delete
    5. So I had two LG sections and thought the harder game, i.e. the scored game was the experimental.. I was so confident it wasn't scored that I totally blew it.. sorry had to vent ):

      Delete
    6. Yea I had that game the one with the pharmacy! It was hard but I think I did ok! Fingers crossed!

    3. one of the last ones was about whether the modern study of psychology or something was useful because it did not contribute anything new to the existing body of knowledge, it was an argument between 2 people. I can't really remember anything else definitely

      Delete
    4. I believe that the 2 REAL LR sections had CPU, recycling/landfills, Pluto, oxygen/nitrogen/hydrogen.

      Delete
    5. I had 3 LR and there was one section with 2 2questions per passage. I thought they were odd. Dont think it means exp. but it was nothing i had seen. My 2nd LR

      Delete
    6. I only had 2 LR's (so, real ones) and I remember everything listed in these replies so far. I also remember whether pretty are is "good art," morally good and morally right (but this is a common topic).

      Delete
    7. Do you remember a question about meerkats, one about crazy dream rules, and one about humidity temperature and rainfall?

      Delete
    8. I remember meerkats, something about barking. I do not remember crazy dreams. I do remember a parallel diagram type question which may have been the rainfal one you are talking about. I dont think so though. If A or B then C. Not C. Therefore, not A. It was a parallel flaw one. Of course, without subject matter that could be any test.

      Delete
    9. From my consensus I've come to with a handful of other people. Of 1,2,4 LRs ... The very first section they threw at you was experiemental.

      Delete
    10. I remember one had two questions about the same hotel unit, fairly certain this was experimental.
And there was a question about nurse anesthetists in one of the real sections.

      Delete
  34. Anyone with 1 RC have a question ragarding farming and crop toxins?

    1. Wow interesting - I had 2 rc, but none of the passages were on that. Multiple different reading comp experimentals this time?

    2. It was about genetic engineering vs some more traditional method. A and B passage. No?

      Delete
    3. Wow definitely not. That's wild.

      Delete
    4. I remember that topic, but I thought I remembered it from a LR question...

      Delete
    5. That's definitely LR. I remember it.

      Delete
  35. I had: RC, LG, LR, LG, LR: pretty sure my first LG is experimental and the 2nd was the real one. the 1st one was really easy and the second weird I bombed. The RC was more difficult than usual? I ran out of time on the RC section. LRs seemed pretty standard...

  36. Anyone remember the first game?

  37. Did anybody have the RC that included the comparative passage on the Rule of Law? Was that the experimental, or real, I can't remember if it was in the same section as the Fingerprints/Jazz/Nuclear Fission section or not (I had 2 RCs obv)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. 2 RC's and I don't remember anything about rule of law. What was the theory stuff all about again?

      Delete
    2. The rule of law was part of the fingerprinting 2 article-passage. So far, I've seen most people saying it was the real one.

    3. Awesome! I feel so much better now :D

      Delete
  39. I though that the LR with the two questions per passage was the Exp (my 2). I had LR LR RC LR LG. I saw games and was like oh nice all this space, but personally think it threw me off.

    3. I did not have one with two questions per passage. Based on past rules of EXP sections, that one was was EXP.

  40. I was wondering: was this the first-ever time that LSAC has spread games across two pages? Is this a precedent and we were the lucky recipients? I was REALLY grateful to have so much more space to test out all the hypotheticals.

    4. Ok awesome. I had LR (25) LR (26, experimental it seems) RC (27) LR (25-26 cant remember) and LG (23).
LR1 seemed really easy and I assumed it would be experimental cuz the universe hates me, but it seems to have been real! Grateful for that.
I don't remember from which sections but i had all those brain/amino acid, CPU, ninjas etc
I'm fairly certain i do NOT remember having a red panda question...

      Delete
    5. i think the ninjas was in the 4th LR section nor do i remember having a red panda question

      Delete
    6. I had ninjas on LR and my experimental was RC.

      Delete
    7. (orig poster again)- I think you're right. LR4 seemed harder of the 2 that counted. Did the ones with dreams count? I think i got it right, regardless but I'm just trying to establish some connections in my mind. 77 LR questions total and it becomes hard to differentiate between lumps of 25-26...

      Delete
    8. I remember the Red Panda question…the one about thumbs and bamboo chutes. I had 3 LR sections (and was trying to figure out which one was experimental, the first two seemed pretty easy, the 3rd one just felt long) and I’m trying to remember if the Red Panda question was in the LR section that seemed really off. I think there was one LR that seemed to just have more parallel reasoning than normal.

      Delete
    9. I did so many practice tests (some of which actually had 2-question passage-snippets in LR) so I didn't even know that a 2-Q passage was supposed to be something unusual. If I had it, I wouldn't remember unless you can recall the topic (I tend to remember the topics better than the type of problem.) I had 2 LR's only. RC was my experimental.

      Delete
    10. Thanks but someone already helped me determine that it was my experimental. as for the poster at 3:48pm, i dont remember thumbs or bamboo chutes... coulda been your EXP. i don't know though. I only remember obscure or amusing subject matter, or just rly odd question types.

  52. RC was hard.. Maybe because it was my first section? I barely remember what the first and last passages were about!

    3. and fingerprint

    4. Yes! 100% positive the real one contained digital books, jazz novel, splitting atoms, and fingerprinting. :)

  54. The fact that there were two reading comprehension sections back to back for me totally ruined the second one, which unfortunately was not the experimental. I definitely panicked during it because RCs make me so tired and are my worst section. I managed to finish but I was rushed. Hopefully this test will be curved in such a way that the 5-6 that I missed on that section won't completely screw me over. The other sections for me were super easy so hopefully I missed almost none on those and I can still get over my old score since this is a retake...I freaked out during RC the first time I took it too, so I guess that will balance out.

  56. Is that (jazz, atoms, fingerprints) the same one that had the one about chimpanzees and human language?

    1. Just kidding, I actually finished reading all the comments and had my question answered for me.

    2. Nope. It was digitized books, jazz/fingerprints (can't remember which was earlier), atoms.

  57. Just trying to make sure I have this right... the RC section with the digital books was the real section not the experimental?

    1. It was for real. I had just one RC section, and that was it.

    1. Oh for sure. I can't even remember the passages from the other (experimental) section except for the one about chimps/human language and the one on neurology/free will. Apparently there was one on the 14th Amendment? I have no recollection of that whatsoever, so it's probably a very good thing that that section won't count!

  59. I believe section 2 on every LSAT was experimental.
    So if you had:
RC RC LR LR LG - RC2 was exp
LR LR RC LR LG - LR2 was exp
LR LG LR RC LG - LG1 was exp.

if anyone has conrete evidence that this is false, please let me know. but from trolling the various blogs, this seems to be patently true.

    1. Actually. For LR LR RC LR LG ... I'm almost positive section was was experimental

      Delete
    2. (orig poster) I read somewhere that they stopped making everyone's exp's at the same section so I could just be wrong. It just seemed that most ppl had section 2 as exp and i was trying to extrapolate. Anyway, if your LR2 had the two occurrences of 1passage/2questions then LR2 was your experimental. if you never saw that, then we had different tests.

  60. I did a lot of guessing. I hope that most of the actual answers were D!

  61. I started off with the two RC sections, found the first one very manageable but the second was weird - dense topics, ambiguous questions. The second RC had a passage about fMRI/psychology/sections of the brain lighting up with oxygen. Can anyone confirm if this was the experimental? I had been scoring 170+ on the last 6 tests I took but I always got through the LG, on the actual LSAT I totally panicked on the LG and guessed on at least 7 because of the extra pages (so silly, I know). Now I'm seriously considering cancelling my score...

    1. fMRI? I dont remember seeing this on a RC passage maybe someone else can clarify though?

    2. absolutely not a score reading passage. see any of the 600 comments about RC lol. digitized books, fingerprints, jazz, and fission/splitting atoms = SCORED RC

  62. Did anyone have RC LR LR AR LR? If so, what did you think about the 5th section (3rd LR)? I'm thinking that might have been the experimental. I found the first two LRs to be "normal" and the third to be a little off. Anyway, hoping that might have been experimental. Time was no issue on any section for me except this one and had to actually guess on the last two in the 3rd LR due to time.

  63. Does anyone remember the question about training a dog using treats? It was the last question on one of the LR sections. I was running out of time so I filled in answers when 5 minutes were called. I started reading the question though and when I went to change the answer I had already filled in, time ran out! So basically, I knew the answer but did not have time to fill it in! I don't think I did well on that section, does anyone know if it was experimental?

    1. You have some moral conviction, my friend. anyone else would have just filled in the bubble during his next section. But I believe karma served you, because I have no recollection of that question so it may have been experimental. Which section of the test was it?

  64. My test started out with two RC sections, followed by a LR, LG, and then an LR. I thought it kind of sucked that my two RCs were in the beginning, but towards the end of the test I was glad like none other because the stupid desks we were sitting in were honestly built for 2nd graders and my neck and back was hurting so much from crouching in the desk trying to read the stupid test phamplet. I finished two games in the LG (not so good at those) and had to guess on a couple of questions on the other sections, but hopefully I did pretty well.

For people who guessed on questions, don't panic. Although you shouldn't depend too much on guessing, in my first LSAT exam, I literally guessed on over 40% of the test (had about one month to study because I decided to take the test last minute) and still ended up with a 153, which I thought (by my standards) was pretty damn impressive for the amount of studying that I did.

    1. Thanks for the post! I had 2 LGs... One pretty basic and routine.. one I had no clue.. turns out the hard one was scored.. Since I thought it was experimental I did not put in full effort and defintely just guessed on most.. Oh well.. It was my first test.. Hope your studying paid off this time and you get a higher score!

  65. Does anyone remember how many questions were in the RC passage on physics in the 1930s?

Also, how many questions in the last game in LG? I don't even know what it was about -- I only finished utilities/commission, Wed-Thurs-Fri, and operas/solos.

    1. It has either never happened or happened once (october '11). cuz that was the first/only test to have an exp not in the first 3 sections. However, wouldn't surprise me it lsac did that

      Delete
    2. I had that test. I honestly feel like 5 might have been experimental (for me, at least). That section took me a little longer to decipher the answer choices since it seemed like the makers started to shift their conventional wording somewhat. I took a full lsat practice exam mon-fri everyday for a month prior, and from those tests, I feel like the answer wording almost becomes predictable. But when I got to the 3rd LR, I was like, Ha! Very clever LSAC. (Or I could be wrong and was just drained by that point. I don’t want to “take for granted that no other possible explanation for that occurrence could exist.” Lol) But from what I’ve been reading from other posts that had this same test setup, it seems like lsac might have even switched up the experimental sections among 2/3/5 for those that had this very same section setup.

  73. a month is so long. I had LR,RC,RC,LR,LG. I thought the real reading comp seemed easier (dig books), the second LR easier and the games were pretty easy (answered 20/23 confidently) but now I am going over each section in my mind nonstop. Working out the worst and best case scenario's. THinking about the first LR section and how I thought it was harder and I was more uncertain during it. I don't know why that LR reasoning section seemed harder, I even forget what was in it but the 2nd (ninjas and such) seemed much easier.....

  74. Ah 1 month is far too long. I had LR,RC,RC,LR,LG. On my test I felt the 2nd reading comp (dig books) was easier, the 2nd LR easier (ninjas) and the games I answered 20/23 confidently. But now I am worried because the 1st LR section seemed a lot harder to me. I generally forget what was on it and am worried that I did terrible on it. I think I did quite well in the RC, LR2 and LG but that first LR section is freaking me out now. SO stressed out. Thanks a lot post test anxiety.
