Good luck to everyone taking the October 2013 LSAT!
The October 2013 LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by Wednesday, October 30, 2013, so you'll have to wait for your LSAT score.
However, the scores usually come out a bit earlier than scheduled.
Let's look at the trend over the past several years (click to enlarge):
Last year, for the first time ever (that I know of, anyway), LSAC released scores after the scheduled release date for a test administration. Why? It may have something to do with the fact that this was in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy (LSAC's office was closed).
Let's assume this won't happen again.
I've also never heard of them coming back on the scheduled release date itself. So, assuming a hurricane doesn't delay score release like it did last year, I'm going for Monday, October 28th, or Tuesday, October 29th as the most likely score release dates based on the above.
"But at what time specifically do scores come on score release days? I need to know when to constantly refresh my email / LSAC account!"
In batches over the course of several hours. Likely starting late in the day (Eastern Time).
No one knows how the batches are organized, if at all.
The batches do not seem to be organized in any of these ways:
alphabetical/regional/high-to-low scores/low-to-high scores/test center #, etc.
Wish everyone all the best!

See other LSAT score release dates posts and read about admissions.

Please feel free to vent and discuss your general thoughts on the exam in the comments, but no specifics about particular questions themselves, please. (LSAC doesn't permit such discussion.)

I'd bet -- but only a modest amount -- that if you looked at a map, you'd find they're batched geographically.
Anyone care to share data that would allow us to figure this out?
(I have the same theory regarding the distribution of experimental sections, fwiw.)
T t t today junior.. Would be nice
Monday?... im guessing
165+ *fingers crossed*
Heard that
That's exactly what I need. I've had so many dreams... ones in which I get 170+ and others where I get in the 150s... instant doom.
I just want to know at this point.
Getting nervous waitng......
When will we know if today is the big day?
When/if the boxes on the LSAC site turn grey
The six green "u turn" looking symbols located beside your LSAT Date information (found under "LSAT > LSAT Status) will turn gray. This means the scores will be released shortly, usually towards the end of the business day. I took the LSAT in June and I received the email around 2:45pm. The LSAT website will have the scores posted before the email is sent out (a minute or so prior) Also, your score is DIRECTLY in the email so if you are wanting to wait and check it with someone, hold off on even opening the email or checking your LSAT Account. I checked this website actually to read if other people had received their scores and once it begins, it's not much longer until everyone gets their score.
Glad I'm not the only one who has had dreams about my score!
anyone get grey yet?
From what I've seen scores are usually released starting around 3pm eastern time.

Mine are still green.

If the people claiming grey boxes are just toying with us, please let us know. It's really not cool making us waste hours refreshing our pages.

green in Texas
Folks, they don't seem to be out anywhere. The "gray"s above were probably trolls. Last year they started late afternoon and it took several hours for all of them to get out. And if you want to add your geographic location, that's fine, but they aren't release geographically. They come in batches, but nobody seems to know by what method (if any) batch is determined (read post above).
Just based on past experience- if boxes turn gray today, it likely will not happen until 3:00 pm ET at the earliest. Deep breaths everyone!
Green in North Dakota
I live in Philly (very close to where the LSAC is) mine are still green
(proximity to LSAC doesn't mean anything)
I'm going to give LSAC a call to see what's up.
I figured as much
Good call. Don't forget to let us know!
Well, I called LSAT. They said the following: "Why the f--- are you calling us?" Also, FYI, I live across the street from LSAC headquarters. They've been loading up big trucks all morning, which is something they usually do when they release scores. Also, the lights were on all last night, which usually means they're working on it. It also could mean absolutely nothing, so maybe we should just stop freaking out and wait for the scores to be released.
Ok guys, I just called and asked if today is the big day. The only response that was given was a violently evil laugh. Also, I think I heard the lost souls of past LSAT takers crying in the background while two little girls sang Ring Around the Posy right before the lady hung up.
Troll...
I'm in Philly too! Let's drive to Newtown and knock on their front door. Productivity is shot for today....
Green in Rhode Island, I'm sure they will probably be released today given the recent trend cycles
is this the gray icon we're looking for?https://os.lsac.org/Release/images/Content/cannotdispl_icon.jpg
its the grey circle its a slash through it, "cannot be displayed icon"
yes
Is it safe to say that today is not the day? It's 2:30 Eastern and nothing has happened by now.
calm down party people...if we do receive them today the earliest it'll turn gray it most likely 3...hang in
Ok. Given the trolls on this board, I was skeptical of the "Gray Symbol" idea, but since I found the jpg file in the site's code I am convinced it must be true.
...have yours turned..?
GRAY. I'm not joking. I seriously have gray icons!!!! So happy. I'm in Mass. at Brandeis.
christ, people. there are some serious issues here if you can't at least wait until 3 PM before you start declaring this to be the end of the world.

Guys, it's kind hard to tell from this thread, but are the symbols grey?
i don't know, man, i need to hear from at least three states that have yet to be identified before i can be sure.
I was the first person to post that his symbols are gray. FOR FUTURE REFERENCE (to future test-takers): Symbols apparently turn gray for everyone at the same time. The symbols turned gray at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. As of 2:48, we still have no scores.
mine is dark grey, does that matter
Is Alaska reporting yet? Any word from Puerto Rico? How about Guam?
Nu-uh! I was the first person to post they were grey because I was trolling everyone at 12pm Eastern.

http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=217598&start=16300
Curve is -12
If (Got Scores) and (Not Telling Us Curve) --[THEN]--> (Selfish)
If it's yellow, I'm sure they'll get in contact with you by the end of the business day, telling you what it means. Hopefully they didn't lose your scantron or you weren't disqualified!!!

NYC.... still grey, email date changed to 10/28/2013. NO SCORE YET

I wonder if "release date" is ever spread out over multiple days when done early
Scores always release a couple days early (except for last October b/c of Hurricane Sandy). All scores will be released by the end of today.
Tormenting!!!!!!
MA - still grey
Anyone in VA know?
I don't think it's by area. Some in PA have their scores and I'm still waiting for mine. :(

Ontario and no score
*UPDATE: There were 101 questions on the 2013 October LSAT. The LSAT curve was -12 for a 170, -19 for a 165, -28 for a 160, and -46 for a 150.
Seen here:

Agreed.
How long ago did you receive your score?

anyone willing to call LSAC to ask. I have called like 4 times, I feel like I shouldn't any more
I just got my score at 6:02 PM, so if you're still waiting take heart. Took a non-disclosed version, so I can't tell you the curve or anything.
