The LSAT, Meditation, Concentration, and Focus

Did you know meditation may increase your LSAT score?

I was as surprised as you might be, but a few months ago, I came across a study reporting that students who received meditation training improved their GRE scores significantly.

Although I'll explain any question in my LSAT tutoring, there's a limit to the amount I have time to write down.

Fortunately, I just learned that fellow LSAT tutor Graeme has written complete explanations for every question in all sections of LSAT PrepTest 66 (June 2012 LSAT). Not only do these explain why the right answer is right, but they also discuss why each wrong answer is wrong.

June 2013 LSAT Score Release Dates

LSAT Blog June 2013 LSAT Score Release Dates

Good luck to everyone taking the June 2013 LSAT!

The June 2013 LSAT scores / results are scheduled to be released via email by Friday, July 5, 2013, so you'll have to wait for your LSAT score.

However, the scores usually come out a bit earlier than scheduled.

Let's look at the trend over the past several years (click to enlarge):

LSAT Blog June 2013 LSAT Score Release Dates

I've never heard of scores coming back on the scheduled release date itself except for when LSAC was releasing February 2013 LSAT scores. (This delay was possibly due to inclement weather.)

In general, if we look at previous LSAT score release dates for February, June, October, and December, it seems that LSAC is taking longer to release scores than in previous years.

As such, I predict that LSAC will release scores on Tuesday, July 2, or Wednesday, July 3. (I don't recall scores ever being released on a major holiday.)

"But at what time specifically do scores come on score release days? I need to know when to constantly refresh my email / LSAC account!"

In batches over the course of several hours. Likely starting late in the day (Eastern Time).

No one knows how the batches are organized, if at all.

The batches do not seem to be organized in any of these ways:

alphabetical/regional/high-to-low scores/low-to-high scores/test center #, etc.

Wish everyone all the best!

Want to take the LSAT in Spanish? Try Puerto Rico.

LSAT Blog Take LSAT Spanish Puerto Rico

Want to take the LSAT in Spanish? You'll have to take it in Puerto Rico, but it's possible.

Here are the details straight from LSAC (PDF, page 8):

For the first time, test takers in Puerto Rico who register for the February 2014 LSAT will be able to choose to take the test in either English or Spanish. This option will be available only in Puerto Rico, and scores for the Spanish LSAT will be reported only to law schools in Puerto Rico. The Spanish version of the test will not be available at any test centers in the 50 United States, in Canada, or in any other location outside of Puerto Rico, and scores on the LSAT are not valid for applicants in Puerto Rico who may wish to apply to any law school outside of Puerto Rico.
The three ABA-accredited law schools that will accept Spanish LSAT scores are the  Inter American University School of Law, the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law, and the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. The Spanish LSAT score is optional for applicants to these three schools; all three will continue to accept scores from the English version of the LSAT for applicants to their programs.
The Spanish LSAT will be scored differently than the English version of the test.
